OSWEGO, NY – Frances L. Woods, 84, a resident of 34 Geritt St., died on July 27, 2009, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Utica, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Yager) Goppert.
She was the stepdaughter of the late Slocum Gumber.
She attended schools in Utica, Syracuse and Oswego.
She was employed with the New York Telephone and was a member of the Oswego Country Club.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, John Woods; and her son, Kenneth Woods of Virginia.
She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Goppert.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.
Entombment will be in All Saints’ Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
