PHOENIX, NY – Anna Mae “Anne” Mills, 80 of Pennellville, NY, passed away peacefully at Loretto Nursing & Rehabilitation, Syracuse, New York surrounded by her loving family on Thursday February 1, 2024. She was born in Pulaski, New York to her late parents Maude Ella (Parkhurst) and Arthur J. Kinney on October 4, 1943. Anne attended C. W. Baker High School, Baldwinsville. She had been employed by XTO, Inc. in Liverpool, NY since 1993, retiring in 2006. The love of her life was her late husband Patrick. They married in 1960 and raised their five children.
Anne had many hobbies and interests including travel and camping, She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking, She absolutely loved any family gathering with family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on the porch in her rocking chair taking in the wonders of nature.
Besides her parents Maude on April 9, 1974, and Arthur on February 19, 1998, she was also predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Patrick I. Mills on October 8, 2021; her sister Mary L. Cobler on March 29, 1999;and her brother Charles L. Kinney on December 28, 1979.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her five children Deanna L. “Dee Dee” (Neal) Candee, Patrick M. “Mike” (Mary Jo) Mills, Timothy S. (Rita) Mills, James C. (Cindy) Mills, and Kelly Laine Mills; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister Cindy Burt Kinney (Linda); nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours are on Sunday February 04, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, NY 13135. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating. Spring burial will be in Pennellville Cemetery, 556 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132
