PHOENIX, NY – Cathrine Elizabeth (Van Vleet) Van Orman, 36, of Ripley, Mississippi, former Phoenix, NY resident, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the Ohio State University Wexler Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. “Cadie” was born in Charleston, SC on June 5, 1987. She was a graduate of Phoenix Central Schools, J. C. Birdlebough High School, class of 2005. Cadie was a home health aide.
Cadie loved sharing time with her kids. She was predeceased by her husband, Sgt. Timothy Randy Van Orman, U.S. Army, who died in Balad, Iraq on February 5, 2008, after sustaining injuries in Muqdadiyah, Iraq.
Cadie is survived by her children Halie E. Van Orman, Tristien Van Orman, Annie Van Orman, and Zoey Van Orman; her mother Ann Marie (Fields) Van Vleet; her father Dennis Van Vleet; her companion William Michael Van Orman; her sister Brittaney Van Vleet; her maternal grandmother Betty Fields; her aunt Laura Fields; her uncle Michael Fields; her nephews Devan Walseman and Bryan Walseman; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
A “Celebration of Life” event will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Phoenix Memorial Post V.F.W. Post 5540, at 70 Culvert Street, Phoenix, New York 13135
