PHOENIX,NY – Cody R. Wilborn, 29, of the town of Volney Phoenix, NY, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Oswego Hospital in Oswego, NY after a brief illness. He was born in Syracuse, NY to his mother Susan A. (Bird) Benjamin, and his late father Richard E. Wilborn on September 17, 1994. Cody was a 2013 graduate of the J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix Central Schools.
Cody was a landscaper for T. J. Lawns, Plus in Phoenix, NY, and had worked previously for Joe’s Landscaping Company. Cody enjoyed riding dirt bike motorcycles as well as playing video games. He especially loved spending time with his two sons Owen and Gage. He was predeceased by his father Richard E. Wilborn on November 23, 2022.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother Susan A. (Larry) Benjamin of Phoenix; his brother Richard J. (Ashley) Wilborn of Martville, NY ; his girlfriend Barbara Warner of Fulton, his sons Owen Warner and Gage Wilborn; his niece Chloe Wilborn; his uncles Randy, Billy, and Timmy Bird; several cousins and friends.
Calling hours are on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, New York 13135. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating.
Eventual Burial will take place in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut Street, Phoenix, New York 13135
