PHOENIX, NY – Elaine Dixe Ellis, 72, of Phoenix, passed away suddenly on Tuesday June 26, 2018, at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego, NY.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1946, to her late parents, Frances (Ducan) and James Dixe.
She worked for Lockheed Martine Co., Syracuse, NY.
Dixe was a member of the N. R. A. ; VFW Post 5540 Auxiliary, and the American Legion Post 418 Auxiliary both in Phoenix.
She was an avid bowler and truly loved Elvis.
Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Theodore W. Ellis; two daughters Kimberly A. Kriesel and Kelly M. Ellis; three grandchildren, Donald Gibbs, Kathyrn Gibbs and Marrisa Ellis; two great-grandchildren, Amelia R. Edwards and Tobias K. Edwads; one brother, Jeffrey Dixe; three sisters, Julie Bailey, Karen Garbutt and Marsha Wilkins; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours were on Sunday, July 1 in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, followed by a celebration of life and a VFW Post 5540 with a presentation of Auxiliary flag and flag holder to the family.
Burial was on Monday, July 2, in Jacksonville Cemetery, 9250 Fenner Road, town of Lysander, NY.
