Josephine Ann Caltabiano Cardinali Cali Dievendorf

PHOENIX, NY – Josephine Ann Caltabiano Cardinali Cali Dievendorf was born October 14, 1928, to Joseph and Angela(Cutuli) Caltabiano who were both immigrants from Sicily, Italy.

She was born in Phoenix and had two older brothers Anthony (Flora) and Rosario (Zottie) who was killed in WW2. Jo married Silvio(Chips) Cardinali from Fulton. They are survived by their two daughters Ann (Michael) Czyz of Myrtle Beach and Laurie (Robert) Kester of Oswego. 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren She was always very proud of her grandkids and loved her great grand kids very much.

Jo spent most of her working career at JCB High School working as the high school secretary.

Her life changed when she dedicated her life to Jesus. She attended Word of Life Assembly of God in Baldwinsville. She led Bible Studies in nursing homes and headed up a seniors group at the church. Jo loved playing golf and she and Chips were founding members of Beaver Meadows in Phoenix.

She also loved spending her winters in FL in her condo. Jo also loved traveling and was always ready for an adventure.

Chips passed away in 1989 after almost 41 years of marriage. Later, she married Louis Cali and had 17 wonderful years with him. After Lou’s passing, she was married to Paul Dievendorf for a short time before he passed.

She was a blessed woman and lived a very happy and fulfilled life. She loved to share her faith with anyone who would listen. She was loved by many and has always been a very sweet and kind woman. “Her children will rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:28-29. She will be missed.
Calling hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. at Word of Life Assembly of God, 12 East Oneida Street, Baldwinsville, NY on Thursday, January 4, 2024, with a 6 p.m. service to follow.

Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, Phoenix, NY at the convenience of the family.
