PHOENIX, NY – Lisa Jean Pierce, 52, of Phoenix, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday August 3, 2017.
She was born in Cortland, NY, on August 19, 1964, to her parents, Sandra M. (Merrill) and Francis “Farmer” Wilbur.
Lisa graduated from Berwick High School, Berwick, Pa.
She furthered her studies with the necessary course study for the insurance industry.
Lisa was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., Syracuse, NY, as a senior associate underwriter.
Her hobbies included: being an avid reader, a history buff, vacationing and spending time with her family.
Her husband of 20 years, Steve, shared many caring moments together.
She was predeceased by her step-father, Robert L. Herring, in 2001.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Steven J. Pierce Sr.; her two sons, Alex J. Pierce at home and Steven J. Pierce Jr. of Piitsburg, Pa.; her daughter, Sara (Robert) McClure of Salisbury, Md.; her mother, Sandra M. Herring of Myrtle Beach, SC; her father, Francis “Farmer” (Alice) Wilbur of Fayetteville, NC; her brother, Russell (Audrey) Wilbur of Kentucky; her three sisters, Rebecca (James) Daly of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lisa Anne Hunsinger of Berwick, Pa., and Bobbie Kirk of Dryden, NY; her two grandchildren, Joanna McClure and Chloe McClure; two half-sisters; one half-brother; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 6, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Phoenix Fire Station Hall, 457 Main St., Phoenix.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Vivian Summerville officiating.
Burial will follow in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St., Phoenix.
