Margaret A. Cole, 67

PHOENIX, NY – Margaret A. Cole, 67, of Phoenix, passed away at her home on Easter Sunday April 21, 2019.

She was born in Syracuse, NY, to her late parents Edna (Smith) and Hubert Post on Easter Sunday April 13, 1952.

Margaret was a 1970 graduate of J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix.

In 2009, Margaret became the confidential secretary for Family Court, Oswego County Judicial system.

Prior to to her post, she was the town clerk for Schroeppel from 1997 until 2009, not only serving the town residents, but as president of the Town Clerk’s Association in NYS.

She also taught computer classes updating the procedural changes in the state’s hunting licensing systems to many town clerks.

Margaret enjoyed antiquing, quilting, and spending time with her family.

She was known for her beautiful Christmas displays.

Many people would make a special trip to see her creative works of art.

And she had a wonderful smile and a good sense of humor.

She will be missed.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, David and Robert Post.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 46 years, Douglas P. Cole; her loving daughter, Chelsey A. Cole; two sisters,
Barbara Saari and Kim Post; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.

Calling hours will only be on Friday April 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
