PHOENIX, NY – Nelson A. Walter, 67, of Phoenix, NY, passed away at home on Thursday January 25, 2018.
He was born in Fulton to his late parents, Reta May (Rawson) and Edward C. Walter Sr. on Nov. 18, 1950.
He was a graduate of Liverpool High School, class of 1968.
He had been employed at N.E.T. & Die, Inc., Fulton.
Nelson was an avid golfer and bowler, loved to pitch horseshoes, having fun with
Karaoke events, and an avid skinny dipper.
Surviving are his loving family: his wife of 47 years, Cathy A. (Eggleston) Walter; his children, Kimberly A. (Rachel) Walter, Kelly M. (Troy M.) Hess and Kristopher N. (Ann) Walter; nine grandchildren, McKinzi Hess, Zachary Walter, Megan Hess, Noah Walter, Mattison Hess, Mallory Hess, Penelope Walter, Gabriel Walter and Kian Walter; his three brothers, Sheldon D. “Bud,” Edward C., and Richard C.; his sister, Nora Mary Howard; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Stan Bennett officiating.
