Nora E. Oja, 94

PHOENIX, NY – Nora E. Oja, 94, of Lockport, NY, passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Edward Daigler, on Sunday Nov. 5, 2017.

Nora had resided with them for the past five years.

She was born in West Carthage, NY, to her late parents, Jennie (Wisner) and Fred Lautenschlager on January 14, 1923.

She was a graduate of Carthage schools.

Nora moved to Syracuse where she worked for L. C. Smith Typewriter Co.

She met her husband to be, Arthur Oja.

She moved to the Oja Family farm in Pennellville where she would reside for most of her adult life.

Nora was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, on Dec. 31, 1994; her siblings, Gerald, David, Frank, Clara, Ruth, Gladys and Doris.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Emma M. and Edward N. Daigler of Lockport, NY; two grandsons, Edward and William Daigler; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Thursday Nov. 9, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.

Funeral services will be on Friday Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating.

Burial to follow in the Wellwood Cemetery, State Route 3, in the town of Mexico.
