PHOENIX, NY – Norma J. Burton, 90, of Pennellville, NY, passed away on Tuesday January 10, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, NY.
She was born in Fulton, NY, on October 27, 1926, to her late parents, Gladys (Churchill) Smith and Ernest William Smith.
Norma married Donald in 1948 and had three children.
She was a loving wife and mother of her kids.
She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 59 years, Donald W. Burton, on Sept. 20, 2007; her daughter-in-law, Sheila Burton, in 2015.
Surviving are her children, Brenda (James) Callen of Phoenix, William Burton of Interlachen, Fla., and Linda (Edward) Mason of Pennellville; five grandchildren, Tammy Mantor, Nicole (Rick) Mason, Edward (Heidi) Mason Jr., Erny (Mary) Mason, and Eric (Audrey) Mason; nine great-grandchildren; cousins; and her canine, Haylee.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. with a 5 p.m. funeral service all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
