Robert P. Brown, 90

PHOENIX, NY –  Robert  P. Brown, 90, of Phoenix, NY, passed away unexpectedly at Michaud Residential, Fulton on Palm Sunday April 9, 2017.

He was born in Syracuse to his late parents, Mildred M. (Stocum) and August A. Brown on January 5, 1927.

He was a US Army veteran.

Bob was employed by Buckley Petroleum and Farrell Plumbing & Heating.

He was the owner/operator of the Phoenix Liquor Store.

Bob was a lifetime member of Caughdenoy V.F.D. and a baseball player for their team.

As an avid sportsman, Bob once bowled a perfect 300 game.

He loved golf and achieved a hole-in-one.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Harriet E. (Corbin) Brown, in 2013; and his sister, Margaret, in 2016.

Surviving are his children, Sandra (Russell) Delano, Norene (Bill) Cook and John P. Brown; seven grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; and a brother, August Brown.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, followed by a 7 p.m. service with Pastor Sue Acker officiating.

Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court St., Syracuse, on Saturday, April 22, at 10 a.m. with military honors.
