PENNELLVILLE – Robert William Ferlito, 81, of Pennellville, town of Schroeppel, passed away on Thursday March 30, 2023. Born in the town of Schroeppel on April 10, 1941, shortly after his parents moved from town of Granby to establish the Ferlito Farm. His late parents were Helen E. (Fox) Ferlito & William A. Ferlito.
Bob attended Phoenix, NY schools. He later became a heavy equipment mechanic for Reliable Farm Supply, Syracuse, NY; Halsey Machinery Company, in Mexico, NY, and a few other companies.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Claudia J. (Sprague) Ferlito on March 16, 2015; his brother Frank Godfrey; sister-in-law Joyce Godfrey on Nov. 8, 2017.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Claudette and Mike Alvez of Gouverneur, NY; his son Louis Massey of Antwerp, NY; his eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law Judy and Leonard Paduano of Liverpool, NY; his brothers Roger Ferlito, of Syracuse, John Godfrey of Pennellville, and William (Marge) Godfrey of Pennellville; his nephew and caregiver Raymond Sprague of Pennellville; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and one of his favorite canines Susie.
Calling hours are on Tuesday April 4, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, NY, followed by reflections of Bob’s life and prayer.
Spring interment will be in Pennellville Cemetery, 556 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132 in the town of Schroeppel.
