PHOENIX – Sonya L. (Bouchard) Dennison, age 77, former Phoenix, New York resident passed away peacefully at Loretto Cunningham, in Syracuse, New York on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born in Boonville, New York to her late parents, Anna L. (Hansen) and Louis A. Bouchard on July 14, 1946. Sonya was a transportation bus monitor for Phoenix Central Schools for 15 years. She had been a parishioner of Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church in Phoenix.
Sonya loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she enjoyed Lifetime Movies; and helping others; and she loved the color pink. She was pre-deceased by her parents. Louis on April 3, 1995, and Anna on December 29, 2012.
Sonya is survived by her daughter Cinda A. Bonvouloir; her son Roger Dennison; her grandchildren Sarah Dennison, Cole Britton, and Madison Britton; her great-grandchildren Charli Welch, Archer Welch, and Avery Bonyea; her brother William T. Bouchard; her longlife close friend Frank Chiappone.
Calling hours are on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, New York 13135. A 7 p.m. funeral service following in the funeral home with Deacon Jeffrey Dean of Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church, officiating.
