William H. Rinn Jr., 77

PHOENIX, NY – William H. Rinn Jr., 77, longtime resident of Phoenix, NY, passed away on Sunday March 4, 2018, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

He was born to his late parent, Dorothy M. (Martineau) and William H. Rinn Sr. in Plattsburgh, NY, on March 30, 1940.

Bill married Kathleen R. Podeswik on August 4, 1964.

They raised a family of six children.

He enjoyed his own kids growing up as well as the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bill was a mechanic for Rescue Mission in Baldwinsville, NY.

Though he was a “jack of all trades” and held many types of employment over the years, he always loved mechanical work on motor vehicles.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He also enjoyed dirt track racing with his grandson driver
Mikey.

Bill was predeceased by his three brothers and one sister, Robert Charles infant, Thomas Joseph, Richard Charles and Nancy Ann.

Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Kathleen R. Rinn,; his six children, Catherine (Brian) McLain, Lola Wright, William H. Rinn III, Timothy (Michelle) Rinn, Tammy Rinn and Rosemarie Wight; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters, Mary Elizabeth, Dorothy May, Joan Patricia, James Edward, Charles Joseph, Ann Marie, Donna Lee, Mildred Mae, Marvin Ray and Jane Marie; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. and
5 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home,
431 Main St., Phoenix.

The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Philip Brockmyre officiating.

Spring burial will be in Jacksonville Rural Cemetery, 9250 Fenner Road, town of Lysander, NY.
