Ann M. LeVea (Missy Pomeroy)

FULTON – August 8, 2025, Ann M. LeVea (Missy Pomeroy), 54, of Hannibal passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at Oswego Hospital. She was born August 26, 1970 in Oswego to John F. and Nora J. (Whitford) Pomeroy. Missy had many nicknames including Boss, Queen Bee, HBIC, FBI & Large Marge in Charge. Missy was always in charge as she would tell you, she knew what needed to be done and exactly how to do it.

Missy was our very own FBI, the town newspaper, and the keeper of every story worth telling. She knew everyone and everything-and never failed to share it with her signature charm. If something happened in town, Missy not only knew about it, she probably knew it first. She was the heart of our small-town conversations with a big city attitude and will be deeply missed.

She loved her kids fiercely; they were her reason to keep fighting. Missy enjoyed many adventures with them including trips to the beach, going to Walt Disney World, Cabins at Chimney Mountain and many travels across the country.

Missy had been employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for 20 years and as a dispatcher at NuCab in Fulton for 10 years. Missy was also the Procurement Manager of Cabins at Chimney Mountain for three years.

She was a lifetime member of the VFW, past member of the Fulton Elks Lodge, a member of the IOOB, the Hannibal Fire Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosarie Church.

Missy is survived by her husband of 30 years, William L. LeVea, Jr.; her children, John LeVea, Madison (Sarah) LeVea, Alanna Willis, Becky-Jo (John) Smith, Traci (Bill) Place, Billie-Jo (Scott) Knight and Adam LeVea; her grandchildren, Heaven, Montanah, Jasmine, Lilia, Mia, Alison, Sydney, Raiden, Dillinger and Ava; one great grandson, Evan; her siblings, Charles DiBartolo, Randy Woods, Nora “Dawn” Gibbs, Starr (Steve) Chetney-Morrison, Sam (Nancy) Chetney, Jeff Fields and Cheryl Grimes; several nieces and nephews in particular her nieces whom viewed her as a second mother, Kim “Sissy Lou” Gibbs & Boduke, Renatta (Marten) Kent and Davanna (Timothy) Marks as well as many cousins, great nieces and great nephews whom she all loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Missy was predeceased by her father-in-law, William “Louie” LeVea, Sr.; her siblings, Linda LeVea, Sally Sanford-Maxfield, Gary Himes, Curtiss Himes and Claude Chetney.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2025 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.  Contributions in Missy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
