Carmella Warner

FULTON –  Carmella Warner, 95, of Fulton passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026. She was born in Volney, one of 10 children of the late Alfred and Laura Bocola St. Phillips. Carmella was a graduate of Amsterdam City Hospital’s Nursing Program and earned her degree in Nursing Education from Syracuse University in 1964. She was a Registered Nurse for the Fulton City School District for 27 years until her retirement in 1986. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church.

In addition to her parents, Carmella was predeceased by her husband, Alden Warner in 2004; her brother, George St. Phillips; her sisters, Connie Hunter, Grace Bogwicz, Mary Runeari and Rose Bevacqua; her son-in-law, William Schurr.

She is survived by her children, Tonigail Schurr of Warsaw, NY, John (Barbara) Warner of Seabrook, TX and Thomas Warner of Los Angeles, CA; her siblings, Anthony St. Phillips of Auburn, Joseph St. Phillips of Fulton, Marie Pinch of Lake Oswego, OR and Jean Feeney of Oswego; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2026 at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton with a luncheon to follow in Bishop’s Hall. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
