Edward H. McCormick

FULTON – December 27, 2025, Edward H. McCormick, 72, of Fulton passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at home with his loving family by his side. Ed was born in Fulton on October 7, 1953 to Harold and Hannah McCormick and was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School. He was employed at the Nestle Company for 30 years and was a supervisor at the time of their closing. He then continued his career as a supervisor at the New York Chocolate and Confections for few years. Ed cherished time spent with his wife and family and found joy in simple pleasures-playing on his computer, reading, camping, remodeling his home and the houses of his grandsons, projects that reflected his skill and his love for them. He was one of the founders of the New York Chocolate Museum at the Pratt House.

 

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy Clark McCormick; his daughter, Carrie McCormick, his sons, Christopher McCormick and Jason (Beth) McCormick; his step-daughter, Shannon Clew; his step-son, Joshua (Mary) Smith; grandchildren, Noah Riley, Noah and Benny Smith, Dylan, Kelcie, Mathew, Ty, AJ, Carlyann and Austin McCormick, Montana Smith who Ed raised, Nathen Smith, Abigail Lunderman and Hayden Smith; his great grandchildren that brought him so much joy in his final days, Maddie Smith, Mason Smith, Mallory Watson and a great granddaughter due in March, Mary Katherine. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Diane and Marylynn McCormick and by a great grandson, Mathew Joseph Smith.
