OSWEGO – Kathleen C. (Kate).Godden, 67, of Oswego passed away Saturday, May 18 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Wallace Godden.
Kate had been employed for many years with Auxiliary Services on the Oswego State University Campus.
She was educated in Oswego Schools and was a graduate of the Oswego High School and Oswego State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in art.
A skilled painter who loved creating artwork with latex pigments on canvas, she also found great joy in artfully decorating her home, working in her gardens and the care of her many pets. She was cherished by all who knew her for her patience and kindness.
Kathleen is survived by her life partner of 40 years, James Russell of Oswego, one sister Mary Schaffer of Oswego, niece Kristy Mangus and nephews Cory, Aaron and Levi Mangus of Norfolk VA.
As per her wishes there will be no calling hours or services.
Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
