Ann H. Hall

OSWEGO, NY – Ann H. Hall, a resident of Oswego and a former resident of Watertown, passed away on Monday July 29, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.

Born on February 11, 1918, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline Zdyrko and was a graduate of the Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan in 1936.

She was employed in the business office of Macy’s Department Store in Manhattan for 10 years.

She married Glenn H. Hall on June 2, 1946, at St. George’s Church in Manhattan.

The couple moved to Watertown in 1946 where Mr.Hall was employed by WWNY-TV for many years.

Ann was a lifelong communicant of St.Patrick’s Church in Watertown.

She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was also involved in the Home and School Club.

She was an avid dart baseball player for many years in the church club league.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn (John) Douville of Deerfield Beach, Florida; son, David (Cathy) Hall of Oswego; four grandchildren, Andrea DeTorre of Stuyvesant Falls, NY, Benjamin (Pamela) Hall, Justin (Sheena) Hall and Travis (Brittany) Hall all of Oswego; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn, on August 17, 2005; two sisters, Mary Lopez and Alice Amorso; and two brothers, John and Nicholas Zdyrko.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday in Watertown.

Entombment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home in Oswego on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m.
