Anna H. Richardson-McCormick

OSWEGO, NY – Anna H. Richardson-McCormick, 92, a resident of Harbour House in Oswego, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Fitzgerald) McCarthy.

She was a graduate of Miami (Florida) Senior High School and was a graduate of the Rochester Business Institute.

Anna had been employed as a secretary to the general manager at the Oswego YMCA, and later held a similar position at the Coca-Cola bottling plant.

She also worked as the chief clerk at the Family Court in Oswego for more than 15 years, until her retirement in 1984.

Anna was a charter member of the Oswego Elks Auxiliary and was a member of the Oswego Hospital Auxiliary.

Anna enjoyed square dancing and loved to travel.

She was a former member of the Oswego Players.

Surviving are her husband, Francis McCormick; two sons, Fay (Eileen Dulin) Richardson II of Loudonville, NY, and Dennis Gary (Phyllis) Richardson of Oswego; five grandsons, Fay W. Richardson III, Adam C. Richardson Esq., Matthew C. Richardson, Jeffrey Richardson and Dr. Gregory Richardson; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Fay Richardson, in 1974.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
