OSWEGO – Carolyn Elkin Spath, 86, passed away on January 24, 2024.
She was born in Oswego on September 8, 1937, and was a lifelong resident, thirty-five years of which she spent raising her family in Minetto N.Y.
To many, she was known as “Pokey”.
She is survived by her brother, Rev. Msgr. Frederic Elkin, her daughters, Maureen Spath and Colleen (John) Boronkay, grandchildren, Amanda Nettles, Kristin (Jake) Huehn, Michelle (Tim) Brennan as well as her great-grandchildren, Parker and Xavier Huehn, and Elizabeth and Victoria Brennan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 from St. Mary of the Assumption Parish & Shrine.
There are no calling hours.
Carolyn asked to please give a donation in her memory to Trinity Catholic School, 115 East Fifth Street, Oswego, N.Y. 13126.
