OSWEGO, NY – Charles F. Bumpus Jr., 92, a resident of the Oswego area, passed away on Thursday March 2, 2017, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Buckley) Bumpus.
He attended St. Paul’s School and Fitzhugh Park Elementary School.
He was employed with the Cyclotherm Corporation for 40 years.
Mr. Bumpus was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.
He was a member of the American Legion #268 and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
Surviving are his daughter, MaryFrances (Richard Jachim) Bumpus of Minetto, a son, Charles Bumpus III of Tampa; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Bumpus, on May 6, 2014.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 – 6 p.m. with a service to follow the hours.
Spring burial will be in Pulaski Village Cemetery.
