OSWEGO COUNTY – David Andrew Everett Abare, March 9, 1991 – May 26, 2025, Eugene, Oregon
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Andrew Everett Abare, beloved son, and brother. David passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2025, in Eugene, Oregon, at the age of 34.
David was born on March 9, 1991, in Oswego, New York, to Everett and Ann Abare (Brancato). He spent recent years in Eugene, Oregon.
David was a graduate of Oswego High School and later served in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the Marines, David pursued his passion for cooking and worked as a chef in multiple establishments along the west cost. Recently he returned to school where he was working toward an Associate’s degree in business at Lane Community College.
As a young man, David found joy in a variety of hobbies, including playing hockey, volleyball, and baseball. He also had a deep love for nature, particularly in mining precious metals and stones. David had a remarkable gift for creating beautiful wire-wrapped jewelry, a testament to his creativity and craftsmanship.
David is survived by his parents Everett and Ann Abare (Brancato), his sister Chrissy Abare, his brother Derek Abare, and his godparents, Lorraine Scharf and William Abare, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
David was predeceased by his sister Chelsey Abare, grandparents, Charles and Gail Brancato, and Francis and Joan Abare, and his uncle Herbert Abare whose memories he cherished deeply.
In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the words of Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” We know that David’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of choice in David’s memory.
