James D. LaTulip, 91

OSWEGO, NY – James D. LaTulip, 91, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Friday August 15, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego; he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Dyett) LaTulip and was a graduate of Oswego High School.

He was a supervisor at General Motors in Syracuse for 25 years.

Mr. LaTulip was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army.

He loved to fish and hunt.

Surviving are his three sons, James (Marie) LaTulip Jr. of Oswego, William LaTulip of Maryland and Brian LaTulip of Arizona; two daughters, Carol Ann (Eugene) Rawczak of Queens NY and Connie (Clifton) Lamb of Oswego; an adopted daughter, Simone Belafquih of Debary Fla.; a sister, Nan LaTulip of Oswego; 10 grandchildren, Jason LaTulip, Steven (Rebecca) Rawczak, Stefanie (Buck) Daily, Rachel LaTulip, Jamie Lamb, Michael LaTulip, Larissa Rawczak, Brian LaTulip, Sarah LaTulip and Jeremy Lamb; an adopted granddaughter, Myriam Belafquih; two great-grandchildren, Jonathon LaTulip and Mia Daily; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris LaTulip, on January 1, 2014; a grandson, Justin Lamb, in 2013; three sisters, Rosamond Buske, Barbara LaTulip and Mary Harter; and five brothers, Richard, Robert, Joseph Jr., John and Arthur LaTulip.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from St.Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
