James G. Dickson

OSWEGO, NY – James G. Dickson, 86, a resident of 150 East First Street passed away on Saturday May 14, 2011, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Ogdensburg, he was the son of the late James and Catherine (McDade) Dickson and graduated from schools in Ogdensburg.

He retired from Sealright after 35 years of service.

Mr. Dickson was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the European Theatre during World War II.

He was a member of the Masons and the American Legion #268 and enjoyed making model airplanes.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Vivian Dumas; three children, Kathleen (Arthur) Pearson of Oswego, Carol (Ron) McKee of Averill Park, NY and David (Marlene) Dickson of Clifton Park, NY; a sister, Jean Thornhill of Heuvelton, NY; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mabel Stevens Dickson, in December 1975; a son, Bruce Dickson; and a sister, Agnes Wilson.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
