OSWEGO, NY – Joseph L. Gunther, 44, of North Fifth St., Reading, Pa., passed away on Friday September 11, 2015, in his residence.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, he is the son of Joseph L. Gunther of Oswego, NY, and Lillian May (Showers) Gunther-Kimpland, wife of Michael, of Blandon.
He was a 1989 graduate of Reading High and received his Associates Degree in Computer Science at Berks Tech. Institute.
He was a former Boy Scout of Troop 207 and assistant Scout Master.
He served in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Oswego, as an altar server as a child.
He worked for Apple Care as a Technician for the last three years, prior he worked for Best Buy of Wyomissing for 16 years.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and step-father, is one brother, Daniel J. Gunther, Reading; one sister, Kastine Santiago, Reading; seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, Pa. 17603.
