OSWEGO – Lois I. Rucki, 88, a resident of Oswego passed away on Friday April 8, 2016, at the Seneca Hill Manor.
Born in Oswego, She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Alta (Nettles) Mathewson and had attended Oswego schools.
She was a seamstress and was employed with the Breneman Hartshorn Company for 20 years.
Lois was a member of the American Legion #268, VFW #5885, Oswego Moose Lodge #741 and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
She loved to fish and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are her niece, Joan (Gary) Davis) of Oswego; two nephews, Kevin (Debbie) Ketcham of Morrisville, NY and James (John Capeling) Ketcham of Oswego; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and very close cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Rucki, in 1991; and two sisters, Frances “Micky” Ketcham and Elizabeth “Betty” Fede.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Dowdle Funeral Homes.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service.
