OSWEGO, NY – Mary D. Shortt, 99, a resident of 215 E. Second St., passed away peacefully on Friday March 25, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara (Earhart) Dorval and had attended local schools.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time with family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Borte of Oswego; and six grandchildren, among whom are Derek and Mark.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1970; and three sons, John (Jay) in 1997, Peter (Jerry) in 2001 and Edward (Terry) in 1977.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oswego County Hospice or University Hospital Stroke Center.
