OSWEGO, NY – Melvin (Mel) Kimball of Scriba NY, passed away on Saturday June 14, 2014, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born on July 5, 1937, to the late Melvin and Luna Kimball Sr.
Mel was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps in 1960.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his youngest son, Jeff; and his younger brother, Harold.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Oswego; sons, Brian and Paul and a daughter, Carrie Kimball all of Oswego; grandchildren, Joleyne (Jamey) Besaw, Kaylee (Roy) Dusharm, Deana Merritt, Amanda Allen, Christopher Kimball, Stephanie Kimball and Daniel Knopp; great-grandchildren, Xavior and Adin Besaw, Ryan Dusharm,Lucas Shaffner, Carter and Gionna Allen, Jasper Kimball and Camden Kimball; a sister, Lois (Carl) Snow; half-sisters, Sharon Hill, Nancy Lamaitis, Loretta (Ron) Ball, Mary Boardway; half-brothers, Robert Kimball and Dennis Kimball; sisters-in-law, Mary Casler and Bernice Johnson; along with several aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
