OSWEGO, NY – Robert J. Rebbeor, 89, a resident of Oswego passed away on Tuesday July 5, 2016, at the St.Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Jessie (Lass) Rebbeor and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
He was employed with the Great Lakes East Coast for 20 years and later was employed with Alcan for 20 years.
Mr. Rebbeor was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre.
Surviving are his brother, James Rebbeor of Oswego; a grandson, Clint (Kate) Gainey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Rebbeor; and his sister, Jane Knight.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, at noon at the Riverside Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
Donations in Robert’s name may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 201 E. Sixth St., Oswego, N.Y. 13126.
