OSWEGO, NY – Terrence L. Davenport, 46, a former resident of Oswego, passed away on Saturday May 19, 2012, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Terry was born in Oswego on March 24, 1966, and was a son of the late James J. Davenport and Shirlee (Purce) Davenport of Oswego.
He was educated in the Oswego City School District and had attended SUNY Oswego.
Terry started to practice Tae Kwon Do at an early age and earned several awards for his accomplishments.
He was a restaurant manager and events coordinator in Houston, San Antonio and San Diego before relocating to Massachusetts where he continued his career in the restaurant profession.
Surviving besides his mother, are his daughter, Tashley of Boerne, Texas; his brothers and sisters, William (Marlucia) Davenport of Rustberg, Va., Patti Perry of Oswego, Peggy Sue Angelina of Lubbock, Texas, Ron Donald of Tustin Calif., Joann (Tom) Wallace of Oswego, Jim (Jenny) Davenport of Woodbury, N.J., Tom Davenport of Oswego and Keith (Jami) Davenport of Harmony, N.C.; his godchildren, Kelly (Manchester) VanDerVilet of Bushkill,Pa., Jesse Davenport of Harmony, N.C. and Paul Bonatakis with whom he resided.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by two sisters, Judy Lynn Davenport and Lu-Ann (Davenport) Vescio.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
