William A. Goodman

OSWEGO – William A. Goodman, 81, a  life long resident of Oswego passed away on October 28, 2024, at the University Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Walter (Grace)Goodman and Mary Mahalski Goodman. He was a graduate of the Oswego High School and had attended SUNY Morrisville.

He was employed with the Oswego County Department of Public Works for over 40 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spending time at the family camp, grocery shopping, and trips to Niagara Falls and Florida.

Surviving are his children, Susan Goodman of Jensen Beach,Florida, Robert (Amber Sweeting) Goodman of Oswego, a sister, Sharon Johnson, a sister-in-law, Irene Goodman,  seven grandchildren Emily((Johnny Combes)Goodman, Haley(Nick Gray) Goodman, Steven(Chloe)Coffey, Matthew(Emily Skellington)Coffey, Lacey Goodman, Chloe (Jacob Carter)Thomas and Skyler Sweeting. seven great-grandchildren Morrigan, Isabella, Jace, Parker, Paisley, Owen and Freya Coffey and several nieces and nephews, Grand puppy, Daisy.

He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years Judith Goodman, brother, Richard Goodman, and his sister, Carol Hummel.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours. There will be a celebration of life at a future date.
