OSWEGO, NY – William E. “Hoagie” Hogan Jr., 70, a resident of Liberty Street, Oswego, passed away on Thursday October 25, 2012, at St.Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late William and Edith (Wallace) Hogan and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
He was employed with many grocery stores in the Oswego area and later was a bartender at the Shamrock Tavern.
He was a member of the Moose.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Frances Crego; three children, Victoria (Ralph Jr.) Lagates of Oswego, William Hogan III of Oswego and Richard (Cindy) Hogan of Cato; a brother, Andy Hogan of Oswego; four sisters, Mary Ketcham of Oswego, Nancy Bond of Mexico, Barbara Hogan of Syracuse and Donna (Fred) Hammond of Mexico; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
