OSWEGO, NY – William J. Dexter Sr., 84, a resident of Mitchell Street passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2013, at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Earl and Olive (Weigelt) Dexter and had attended local schools.
He was employed at the Hammermill Paper for more than 30 years.
Surviving are his three sons, William Dexter Jr. of Oswego, James (Julie) Dexter of Maryland and Robert Dexter of Oswego; four grandchildren, Alex, Haley, Amanda and Matthew.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Ann Dexter, in 1986.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from St.Paul’s Church.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
