Alfred D. Williams, 89

Alfred D. Williams, 89, went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2009.

A native of Oswego, Mr. Williams had resided in Cantonment, Florida before moving back to Oswego in 1997. He retired in 1982 from St. Regis Paper Company in Pensacola, Florida as a photo engraver after 30 years. He had previously worked for Pontiac Engraving in Oswego.

Mr. Williams attended Sterling Valley Community Church, Sterling. He was a member of Cantonment Lodge #322 F & A.M. in Cantonment, Florida, where he served as master and past district deputy grand master District One State of Florida. He was a member of the Pensacola Valley Scottish Rite and the Pensacola York Rite Bodies. He was also a member of the Royal Order of Scotland.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 71st Infantry Division and with 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret M. Clayton Williams, who died in 1996 and by his second wife, Catherine Dailey Williams, who died in 2008.

Surviving are: a son, Daniel C. (Fara) Williams of Clovis, New Mexico; a daughter, Margaret A. (Richard) Bien of Clearwater, FL; twin grandsons, Daniel C. Williams and Orrin T. Williams; twin granddaughters, Terri E. Fleury and Robyn L. Mosley; six great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal has charge of arrangements.
