HANNIBAL, NY – Barbara J. Lagoe Sitzer, 78, of Sterling, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and extended family.
A native of Oswego, she lived in the Oswego-Sterling area most of her life.
Barbara had worked at Nestle Company in Fulton for 25 years, Mirabito’s Big M Supermarket in Hannibal, General Electric Company and Sterling Canning Factory.
She was a member of Sterling Senior Citizens and enjoyed golfing, bowling, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Sitzer Jr. in 1996; sister, Connie Foster; and beloved pet Buffy.
Surviving are her children, Barbara “Cindy” (Robert) Deming of Oswego, Karen (Richard) Walker of Pulaski, Richard A. Sitzer III of Oswego and Mary (Edward) Flynn of Fulton; siblings, Richard (Kaye) Lagoe of Scriba, Ruth Fellows, Betty (Bill) Farnham and Kathy (David) Fellows all of Oswego; many nieces, nephews and extended family including, Shirley and Kevin Lamie and family, Joey Taylor and family, Jean Flynn and family, RaeDee Kelley, Amberanne James and Henrietta Wood.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 29 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, with services immediately following.
