Bruce Vincent McKenna, 77

HANNIBAL, NY – Bruce Vincent McKenna, 77, of Cato, passed away Friday December 30, 2016, at Auburn Community Hospital.

He was born in Fort Covington, NY, on June 13, 1939, to Violet O’Daughtry and William “Bill” D. McKenna.

Bruce was employed by Brown’s Moving and Storage Company in Syracuse for many years.

He enjoyed history, reading, writing poetry and singing, but most of all he loved being a family man.

Bruce was predeceased by his daughter, Ruthanne Chappell-McKenna, in 1997; siblings, Bill, Donnie, Brian, Michael and Patty.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Winifred McKenna; daughters, Patricia McKenna of Solvay and Kelly (Richard) Gilfus of Union Springs; grandchildren, Samantha, Reggie, Bruce and Casandra; and great-grandchildren, Rhianna, Eden, Selena, Allayae and Elliot.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

Spring burial will be in Martville Cemetery.
