Claude E. Merrill,70, of Baldwinsville died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
A native of Potsdam, he was a longtime resident of the Fulton – Oswego area before moving to Baldwinsville recently. Claude was employed at Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse as a groundskeeper. He had enjoyed fishing.
Claude was predeceased by his parents, Glenford and Bernice Campbell; a sister, Delcena Andrews and two brothers, Delbert and Wilford Merrill.
Surviving are a son, Claude E. Merrill, Jr. of Oswego; a sister, Beverly J. Besaw of Baldwinsville; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton.
