Darrell E. Cooper

FULTON – Darrell E. “Coop” Cooper, 71, of Fulton, went to our Lord on July 31, 2020.

Born to the late Edward and Ruth Cooper, he was a graduate of Hannibal High School, class of 1967. Coop proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during Vietnam, from 1968 to 1971. After Vietnam, he worked for Suny Vending and then New Process Gear, retiring after 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Doug, and two nephews, Michael Cooper and William Blake. Darrell will be forever loved by his wife of 31 years, Dolores, of Fulton; two daughters, Kristina and Lille’ Cooper, of Fulton; three sons, Charles (Kiley), of Fulton, Chad (Elisha), of Jordan and Aaron (Shania), of New Jersey; one sister, Jeannette (Danny) Gober, of Fulton; two brothers, Larry (Shelia) and Nelson (Christa) all of Florida; four grandsons, Alex Snow, Cole Cooper, Chase and Colt Cooper; nephew, Daniel Gober; several sister and brothers-in-law.

Darrell was crazy, but he was also a loving, grounded man, who always took great care of those that were in his fold. He was very active, and he worked as hard as he played, traveling all over the country with his family. Coop played many sports, including bowling, softball, tennis, horseshoes, darts and golf. He also enjoyed hunting with bow, gun, muzzle loader and fishing. Darrell’s favorite teams were the Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees and “Bud Light.” He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 5 in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, East Broadway, Fulton, where social distancing requirements will be observed. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
