Deborah C. Lucid, 64

FULTON, NY – Deborah C. Lucid, 64, of Pennellville, passed away Monday August 5, 2013, at home in the arms of her loving husband.

She was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, daughter to the late Albina and Russell Maynard and resided in Pennellville since 1975.

Debbi graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

She was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Emerson J. Dillon Middle School in Phoenix before becoming a private duty nurse working with severely disabled and non-verbal children.

She was the owner of  Red Rocking Horse Antiques specializing in depression and elegant glass.

Debbi was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of their choir.

She was a former member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and choir in Phoenix.

She sang with the Syracuse Pops Chorus and the Pennellville Cantata.

Debbi was a volunteer with the American Heart Association.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Babci” Matusek.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Vincent J. Lucid; a son, Michael R. Lucid of Syracuse; two sisters, Susan Maynard-Sepsenwol of North Carolina and Melissa LeGer of California; a brother, David Maynard of Washington; and two cats, Carina and Noel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third streets, Fulton.

Entombment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Oswego.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Lucid may be made to the Humane Association of C.N.Y., 4915 ½ West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.
