Dewey M. Reynolds, 87

FULTON, NY – Dewey M. Reynolds, 87, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016.

A native of Victory, he had resided in the Fulton area most of his life.

He worked on his family’s crop farm for 26 years before joining the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 545 in Syracuse.

Dewey worked on construction projects throughout New York State.

He was a member of State Street United Methodist Church in Fulton and American Legion Post 587 in Fulton.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 transferring to the Army Reserves until 1963.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Hulett, in 1998; his second wife, Peggy Jo Barstow, in 2012; and brothers, Lloyd and Vern.

He is survived by his two sons, Kevin (Penny) Reynolds of Sterling and Terry Reynolds of Fulton; four grandchildren, Jeniffer (James) Devaul, Stephanie (Christian) Roth, Korey Reynolds and Scott (Katie) Reynolds; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Burial will be in Ira Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Mass., 02241 in Dewey’s memory.
