Dominick James Patchen

Dominick James Patchen

FULTON – July 5, 2024, Dominick James Patchen “Turkey”, 10, of Fulton, NY, passed away peacefully at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital on Friday, July 5th, after an almost three year battle with Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma. His loving parents were by his side.

Born in Oswego, NY, he was the son of Casey and Tylar Patchen. He attended Granby Elementary School where he was a friend to many, worked hard even after missing many school days and was the Hula Hoop Champion of the school, which he took very seriously.

He is survived by his parents Casey and Tylar Patchen, his siblings, Logan, Devin, Urijah, Leo and Salem Patchen. His grandparents Karen O’Bryan, James Foster and Jamie Patchen. His great grandfather James Morley. His aunt Stephanie (Matt) VonHoltz and his uncle Dakota Cheesbro. Also, many cousins and friends who turned into family. He was predeceased by his grandmothers Marjorie Morley and Kay Lindsley, and his uncle Thomas Foster.

Dominick was the epitome of bravery and strength. Even while sick he always wore the biggest smile on his face and tried to make you laugh. He was the life of the party and if there wasn’t a party, he would make one just with his presence. He loved spending time with his dad playing video games, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He was the funniest person in any room, loved saying the most unhinged things and had a laugh that was so infectious.

He was a fighter, he fought so hard and cancer didn’t win the battle, he did. We were blessed with him for ten years and although his time here was cut way too short, he left an impact on every single person he came in contact with. Our family and community mourn such a great loss and we will never be the same without him.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 12th from 4-7pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton and his Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 13th from noon-4pm at Curtis Manor in Oswego. Everyone is welcome to attend both. Please do not wear black, wear your Dominick Strong gear, video games/anime/green, all of Dominick’s favorite things.

If you would like to send flowers or donations, please do so to Foster’s or his gofundme page https://gofund.me/f2b2bd78

Thank you to everyone that loved him. He will be missed so deeply. Forever and always #dominickSTRONG
