Dorothy M. Gibbo, 91

FULTON, NY – Dorothy M. Gibbo, 91 formerly of Fulton, died Monday October 22, 2012, at Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego.

A native of Syracuse, she had resided in Fulton most of her life.

Dorothy retired from Oswego Industries after many years.

She had enjoyed bowling on various women’s leagues, playing mahjong and playing the organ.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and former member of State Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday Church School to adults with special needs.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Gibbo, in 1997; and daughter, Donna Brinkerhoff, in 1996.

Surviving are a son, Neal Brinkerhoff; grandchildren, Richard Whelsky, Timothy Brinkerhoff, Donna Lee McCalla, Kurt Whelsky, Chad Whelsky, Christi Sharkey, Josh Emeterio, Neal Roger Brinkerhoff, Cindy Chronowski, Caroline Hughes, Christina Markey, Jessica White and Thomas Brinkerhoff; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 9 a.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in St. George Cemetery in Burke, NY.
