Ethel M. Osborne

FULTON, NY – Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ethel M. Osborne, 93, of Warwick, RI, and formerly of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday April 29, 2015, at Greenwood Care Center in Warwick, RI.

Born on April 28, 1922, to the late Parker and Mae Keller, Ethel grew up in Fulton and graduated from Fulton High School in 1941.

On August 6, 1943, Ethel married her long-time neighborhood friend and companion, Ronald Osborne.

They were happily married for an amazing 70 years and together raised four independent, loving sons.

Ethel retired as a legal secretary from New England Electric Company in Westborough, Mass.

She was a member of a large number of social and civic clubs including the Fulton Women’s Club, Fulton Garden Club and was a long-time square dancer in New York, Massachusetts and Virginia.

She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Brandermill, Virginia Women’s Golf League.

She was predeceased in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Lindsley.

Ethel is survived by her husband, Ronald Osborne of Warwick, RI; sons, Neil (Elizabeth) Osborne of Soquel, Calif., Daryl Osborne of Oswego, Alan (Joann) Osborne of Medway, Mass., and Kevin (Mary Ellen) Osborne of Gales Ferry, Conn.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, May 4, at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.

Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
