FULTON – October 31, 2025, Etta Mae Kerfien, 95, of Volney, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was a lifetime resident of Volney, born to the late Merton and Jessie (Phillips) Kemp. Etta worked as an office clerk for Nestle’s for several years. She will always be remembered for how much she loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandkids. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald E. Engle; husband, Richie, and her four brothers.
Surviving are her three daughters, Donna, Diane (Michael), and Penny; grandchildren, Jessica (James), Carolyn (Clint), Jennifer (Carl), and Dustin; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; her brothers in-law, Fred, Ed, and Tom; along with several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held from 12-1 pm on Tuesday, November 11th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will follow at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th N St, Liverpool, NY 13088.
