FOSTER – Foster D. Rockwood, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at the age of 92. Foster was a cherished resident of Oswego, NY, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends.
Foster is survived by his devoted wife, Rae Rockwood, with whom he shared many wonderful years. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: John (Paula) Rockwood, Karen (Tim) Thomas, Thomas (Liza) Rockwood, and Ronald Rockwood. Foster was a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, whose legacy will continue through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Christine (Edward) Tryniski and Roberta Buck, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Foster was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Ruth Rockwood, and his brothers, Parker Rockwood and Warren Rockwood. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with them.
Foster dedicated his life to his work as an auto mechanic, a career that allowed him to indulge in his passion for working on antique tractors. He was a man of many talents and enjoyed spending quality time with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
