Frank H. Newton Sr., 94

HANNIBAL, NY – Frank H. Newton Sr., 94, of Scriba, passed away on Monday June 13, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.

He retired as a millwright at Nestle Company after many years and had previously worked at Sealright Packaging Company, both in Fulton.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a life member of V.F.W. Post #569 in Fulton.

He was an avid reader and a NASCAR racing fan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Almeda Cunningham Newton; and daughter, Donna Newton.

Surviving are his children, Fred (Helen) Newton of Whitney Point, Patricia (Dolph) Skaggs of Enigma, Ga., Priscilla Ferria of Meridian, MS., Jo-Ann (John) Green of Tifton, Ga., Wayne (Bonnie) Newton of Hannibal, Carleen Waugh of Scriba, Kathleen Waugh of Tifton, Ga., Frank (Carleen) Newton Jr. of Hornell and Raymond Newton of Oswego; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., in Hannibal.

Graveside services will immediately follow with full military honors at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, County Route 3, Hannibal.

There are no calling hours.
