HANNIBAL, NY – Jean M. Evans, 69, of Hannibal, died Wednesday June 22, 2011, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Born in Kingston, NY, she was a graduate of Kingston High School and attended Mildred Elloy Secretarial School.
Jean had several secretarial jobs in the Kingston area before moving to Hannibal and becoming a secretary in the History Department at SUNY Oswego from 1981 to 2006.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Evans, who died March 13, 2007.
Surviving: a sister, Christina Keith-Kirk of Kingston, NY; nieces, Kristy Kirk of Silver Springs, MD, Karen Kirk of Denver, CO; a nephew, Michael Kirk of Louisville, KY.
Calling hours are Friday (today) 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
Private graveside services will be at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
