Born on January 4, 1962, he grew up in the Martville area and started working in the woods cutting down trees with Norm Wilday at the age of 14.

A 1981 graduate of Hannibal High School, Jeff moved a quarter mile away from his parents, Richard and Joyce Webb Clary, built a beautiful home for his family out of lumber he sawed on his own sawmill with trees that he cut.

He owned Clary Logging in Martville for many years.

Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. But, what he loved to do most was work in the woods.

He would often be seen driving around in the log truck that he built and was always joking and smiling and loved making others laugh.

Surviving are his wife, Billie Clary; father, Richard Clary; daughters, Lacey (James) Soper and Colleen (Henry Klos) Clary; six grandchildren, Kayleigh, Chase, Colton, Carson, Callen and Kennedy; sister, Lesa (Hope) Clary; and many wonderful friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Joyce; and grandparents, Doris and Ovid.

Jeff was an amazing man, just ask the hundreds of people who came to support him.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, with services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the funeral home.
